Favourite Play: The Comedy of Errors

Favourite Character: Malvolio (as Malvolia!)

 

Carly is an actor, singer and musician with a love of comedy, improvisation and all things classical from Shakespeare to ballet to Julie Andrews. Carly has just finished her Bachelor of Arts, Acting at the Ballarat Arts Academy (Federation University).

 

Among her university credits, Carly played Masha in Three Sisters and Orlando in As You Like It. Since graduating, Carly has appeared in Melbourne Shakespeare Company’s The Tempest (Miranda) and has had leading roles in commercials and fashion shows (A Victorian Silhouette, Melbourne Fashion Festival).

 

Carly is also a writer/director, having written, directed, and produced Yours Everlastingly, Fred, which was commissioned by La Mama for their touring company in 2016. Carly has trained in clowning and physical theatre with Laugh Masters Academy, and is currently training, performing and interning at The Improv Conspiracy Theatre.

 

Carly works as a Trinity-Guildhall and Acting teacher at the Victorian School of Performing Arts. Also an ensemble member of Stiff Company (a Handcrafted Theatre ally) Carly is yea verily excited to get her sooth on!
