Erin is a Melbourne based musician and educator. She grew up in a rural country town surrounded by bushbands and balladeers and started learning the violin at age eight, straddling the classical and folk worlds. 

 

She completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne in 2013 and has since played for varied groups including theatrical productions The Last Five Years and West Side Story, contemporary classical music in Orchestra Nouveau, gypsy jazz band Eyal and the Skeleton Crew, mariachi band Los Romanticos and everything in between. 

 

Erin currently sings and fiddles in her alt folk trio Rare Child, whose debut EP 'Big Smoke' was launched last year.
