Favourite play: Romeo and Juliet, awww

Favourite character: Anytime there’s a ghost or someone cross-dresses.

Nikki once understudied the entire cast of a school production of Romeo and Juliet. Disappointingly, neither Romeo nor Juliet got sick and she ended up having to play Paris.  Her love of theatre has nonetheless continued unabated.

Nikki has been with Soothplayers since its first season in Melbourne Fringe 2015 and also plays with Completely Improvised Potter.  She trained in improvised theatre with the The Improv Conspiracy, where she was on house teams Elevator DJs, Your Elected King and Friends At The End.

She is also a standup comedian.  Her solo show Asexual Healing debuted at MICF 2016 and is touring in 2017.  A graduate of the VCA School of Film and Television, Nikki has also worked on numerous community TV shows, including as a writer on popular comedy quiz show 31 Questions.

When not making art, she is usually writing about it.  As a theatre critic, Nikki writes for Australian Stage and has also written extensively for Concrete Playground and The Pun. Follow her for updates on her shows , articles and fine Pokemon portraits (no, really) on Instagram @nikkispunde.
