Vidya Rajan is a writer, theatre-maker and improviser from Perth, Australia now calling Melbourne home. She has trained at a number of improv companies across Australia, including Just Improvise, Improv Conspiracy and The Big Hoo-Haa, as well as overseas at iO Chicago. She is an ensemble member of The Big Hoo-Haa and Only The Human (Perth) and plays in sketch at the Improv Conspiracy from time to time. She is currently undertaking a Masters at VCA and a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship. Her first experience of Shakespeare was performing the role of Portia at a school drama competition, which she blames for leading her to an erstwhile career in the law. She is super excited to play with Soothplayers and finally have a safe space in which to say 'forsooth' a lot.
